Kreuzkantor Martin Lehmann

Martin Lehmann has been the 29th Kreuzkantor since autumn 2022, holding one of the most prestigious posts in Protestant church music. As a child and teenager, he was himself a member of the Kreuzchor; he later studied choral and orchestral conducting in Dresden. During his studies, he gained valuable experience as an assistant to Hans-Christoph Rademann at the Dresdner Kammerchor. Following posts in Leipzig and Wuppertal, he took over as director of the Windsbacher Knabenchor in 2012 for a ten-year term.

Sarah Wegener

The British-German soprano Sarah Wegener captivates audiences with her expressiveness, stylistic versatility and brilliant interpretation of the text. During the 2026/27 season, she will appear in performances including Mozart’s Requiem at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Zemlinsky’s Lyrical Symphony at the Vienna Musikverein, and Mahler’s Fourth and Second Symphonies. She works with renowned conductors and orchestras and makes guest appearances at international concert halls and festivals. She is also in great demand as a lieder and opera singer and as a performer of contemporary music. Her outstanding discography demonstrates her stylistic range. Since 2024, she has been a professor of singing at the Zurich University of the Arts.

Marie Henriette Reinhold

Marie Henriette Reinhold, a mezzo-soprano born in Leipzig, graduated with distinction in 2020 and can now be heard in major concert halls and churches throughout Germany and other European countries. Since 2019, she has been performing at the Bayreuth Festival, where, during the festival’s anniversary year in 2026, she sang an Enchanted Maiden and the Voice from above in "Parsifal", as well as Floßhilde and Grimgerde in the "Ring". She is also very successful in the Baroque repertoire, contemporary music, and art song.

Mauro Peter

Swiss tenor Mauro Peter performs on renowned opera and concert stages across Europe, North America and Asia. Roles such as Loge in Wagner’s "Rheingold", Max in Weber’s "Freischütz" or Tamino in Mozart’s "Magic Flute" feature in his repertoire, as do symphonic works such as Mendelssohn’s "Lobgesang" or Mahler’s "Lied von der Erde". He also has a great passion for art song, which has already led him to numerous successes on the concert stage and in recording projects.

Dresdner Kreuzchor

The Dresdner Kreuzchor is one of the oldest and most famous boys' choirs in the world. Even after more than 800 years, one of its most important tasks is to sing in the liturgical services of the Kreuzkirche on Dresden's Altmarkt, where it performs in vespers and church services and regularly gives concerts with outstanding works of sacred music. In addition, the Crucians (Kruzianer), who have been singing under the direction of Martin Lehmann since 2022, regularly go on tours in Germany and abroad as cultural ambassadors for Dresden.
