About the Concert

Start the new year with a special concert experience! Leave the everyday behind and enjoy a relaxed, lively start to the new year – with the most beautiful Viennese waltzes, spirited polkas, and plenty of musical joy.

Under the direction of our concertmaster Wolfgang Hentrich, you can expect a programme full of charm, elegance, and Viennese spirit. Look forward to timeless classics such as “On the Beautiful Blue Danube” and the exhilarating polka “Under Lightning and Thunder.” Also in focus is Josef Strauss, whose 200th birthday we will celebrate in 2027. The younger brother of the famous “Waltz King” Johann Strauss was a master of refined and inventive compositions. With his polka “Fireproof,” which he once wrote for a manufacturer of fireproof safes, he also shows his humorous side.

A concert to lean back, enjoy, and indulge – and a wonderful opportunity to welcome the new year with music and good cheer.
