Once Broadway and back. That is how it could be written on the ticket for this concert. For both works were performed for the first time in Manhattan (New York) and from there began their victorious journey through all theatres and concert halls. In them, jazz, blues, and symphonic elements blend in a unique way. In Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," a grand piano solo is also added. And Leonard Bernstein was not only a brilliant conductor but also the composer of the musical "West Side Story" – a modern take on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" with lively Latin American melodies and dances. What if the entire cultural palace could join in the "Mambo"?George Gershwin
