Tabatha McFadyen

Australian-born Tabatha McFadyen, now based in Berlin, is a director, choreographer and performer. Her most recent projects include choreography and assistant directing for "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" at the Berlin State Opera, where she was also permanently employed as a staff producer until 2025, and choreography for "Der Rosenkavalier" in Zurich. She has worked with internationally renowned directors such as Lydia Steier, Claus Guth, Robert Carsen, Calixto Bieito and Barrie Kosky.

Gunter Berger

Gunter Berger studied school music and orchestral conducting, but has devoted himself primarily to choral music since 1990. From 1990 to 2011, he led the MDR Children's Choir to European fame, and from summer 2012 he took over the direction of the Dresden Philharmonic Choir for ten years. Since 2022, he has concentrated on conducting the Dresden Philharmonic Children's Choir and the Bürgerchor am Kulti as well as on his numerous teaching activities, workshops and program ideas, with which he enriches the choral scene.

Georg Köhler

Georg Köhler is the Runnicles Fellow with the Dresdner Philharmonie for the 2026/27 season and has also served as Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Akademisches Kammerorchester Zürich since 2023. In 2023, he was also a prize-winner at the Mahler Competition and, prior to that, gained valuable experience over two years as Assistant Conductor with the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France.

Bernhard Hansky

The German baritone Bernhard Hansky began his career as a member of the opera studio at the Komische Oper Berlin and later became a member of the company at the Semperoper in Dresden and the Hamburg State Opera. Since 2022, he has been working as a freelance opera and concert singer, performing roles such as Papageno in "Die Zauberflöte", Conte d’Almaviva in "Le nozze di Figaro" and Kurwenal in "Tristan und Isolde", as well as the baritone parts in oratorios and Passions. In his spare time, he produces the opera podcast "Parlando".

Antoni Staniec

Polish-born tenor Antoni Staniec is a student at the Berlin University of the Arts. In addition to performing as a soloist, he is one half of the duo "Gable & Staniec", which creates and performs chamber music programmes. He is also active as a vocal coach and founded the "Giuditta Pasta Academy" programme in 2026, where young opera singers come together to further their education in music history and vocal art.

Lea Kohnen

German soprano Lea Kohnen graduated from the University of the Arts Berlin in 2024 where she studied with Caitlin Hulcup and Elisabeth Werres. Lea’s recent operatic engagements include Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) at Konzerthaus Berlin and Pamina in a production of Die Zauberflöte at AlleeTheater Hamburg. She also sang Adele in the operetta Die Fledermaus, Ännchen in Der Freischütz at the Festivo festival for chamber music, Enfant (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, uni.t Berlin), Despina in Così fan tutte at the Mozarthaus in Vienna, Thea in the contemporary opera Frühling, Erwachen in Budapest and Carmi in a staged version of Mozart’s oratory Betulia liberata with the Preußisches Kammerorchester.

Nadia Toliou

The Greek soprano Nadia Toliou is active as an opera and concert singer. She studied Bachelor of Voice and Master of Opera with Prof. Yamina Maamar at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and was supported by DAAD scholarship. In the 2025 season, she performed the title role in Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank. She made her operatic debut in 2022 as the First Boy in Die Zauberflöte at the Staatsoperette Dresden.

Xiang Li

The young soprano Xiang Li hails from China, where she successfully completed her bachelor’s degree. She is now continuing her training in concert and opera singing at the Dresden University of Music and has already appeared at venues including the Staatsschauspiel der Stadt and the Landesbühnen Sachsen, in roles such as Sandrina in "La finta giardiniera" and the First Boy in "The Magic Flute". The award-winning singer has also enjoyed success in the concert world and has, for example, already performed at Dresden’s Kreuzkirche.

Mei Ling Daniell-Greenhalgh

Meiling Daniell-Greenhalgh is from the UK and completed her Master’s degree in singing at the Dresden University of Music in the summer of 2025. The opera roles she has already performed include Cherubino in "Le nozze di Figaro", Hermia in "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel". She also enjoys success as a concert singer in Germany and the United Kingdom. Since the 2025/26 season, she has been singing with the RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin and the Chorus of the Landesbühnen Sachsen.

Nikolai Füchte

The baritone Nikolai Füchte is studying singing at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden under Prof. Hartmut Zabel. He has gained valuable additional inspiration through his work with Britta Schwarz, KS Olaf Bär and Snežna Nena Brzaković. Engagements as a concert soloist have taken him, amongst other venues, to the “Sumartónleikar í Skálholti” festival in Iceland, the “Koningin Elisabethzaal Antwerpen” in Belgium, as well as the “Kulturpalast Dresden” and the Dresden Frauenkirche. A key focus of his artistic work lies in Baroque music and the music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Nicolas Köhler

Nicolas Köhler is a successful and award-winning stage dancer who performs in TV productions, theatres and show venues across German-speaking countries. He has been passionate about dancing from a young age and trained in Germany in jazz, ballet and contemporary dance, as well as in urban dance styles in the USA. Most recently, he has appeared as a guest performer at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Vienna State Opera and the Graz Opera, amongst others.

Carley Marholin

Carley Marholin is a dancer who trained in New York, where she appeared in numerous productions at the start of her career. She has danced with, among others, the Martha Graham Dance Company and Steps Ensemble. She now lives in Berlin, where she is very active in the independent dance scene. She has also performed at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Semperoper Dresden and the Landesbühnen Sachsen. As a choreographer, she has realised projects in New York and Berlin.

Philip Mayers

Philip Mayers is an Australian musician of remarkable versatility, enjoying an enviable reputation as a sought-after chamber music partner, accompanist, vocal coach, and pianist, the latter especially in the field of New Music, where he has been involved in the premières of more than one hundred new works. His concert performances have taken him to leading festivals.

Carola Volles

Carola Volles completed her studies in costume design at the Berlin University of the Arts and has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer since 2010. She works at numerous theatres across Germany, as well as in other European countries. She has also been engaged in Muscat and San Francisco. Her portfolio to date includes operas such as "Götterdämmerung", "Nabucco", "Salome" and "Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen".

Alexander Hauer

Actor, choreographer, and director Alexander Hauer was a member of the Theater Bremen ensemble from 2000 to 2004. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelancer, developing music, dance, and theater projects that uniquely combine movement, sound, and community. In 2011, he founded the non-profit cultural institution OpusEinhundert, where he has been Artistic Director ever since, staging inclusive productions with up to 150 performers of different ages.

The Dresden Philharmonic Children’s Choir is one of Germany’s best-known and most successful children’s choirs and has a history stretching back almost sixty years.
